Komamboga Entrepreneur Association (KEA) is a non-profit organization established by a group of passionate community leaders from the Kanyanya-Kawempe Division in Uganda. It was officially registered with local authorities to address the pressing challenges faced by the most vulnerable members of society. KEA’s primary mission is to empower individuals, particularly women, widows, and orphans, by providing them with the skills and resources necessary to improve their livelihoods. The organization focuses on combating poverty, reducing illiteracy, and promoting gender equality, particularly in areas affected by HIV/AIDS. Through community organization, training, and advocacy, KEA helps individuals overcome barriers to employment and income generation. KEA also actively fights against the marginalization faced by its members due to discrimination from the wider community. In recent years, KEA has taken significant steps towards improving the lives of its members, addressing issues of poverty, unemployment, and the impacts of HIV/AIDS. With active projects and outreach, the organization seeks to create a more equitable future by offering practical support to those most in need. However, KEA continues to face challenges in accessing sufficient resources and support, requiring more significant external assistance to reach its goals.
